I like the way you decorate your Christmas tree. Nice thoughts to carry throughout the year.

Thanks, Tippy. If my wishes come true, the world will be a lot nicer place. 🙂

Let the lovely tree of poetic words grow in everybody’s heart in 2018!

Thanks, Peter. We must plant it, let it take root, water and nurture it so that it grows strong. Unity is the key; a tree divided against itself cannot stand. 🙂

Survey says that’s the #1 answer, Marissa! Because, when you read my poem, it’s like a little prayer…

Absolutely. What the world needs now is love, sweet love. And a touch of hot sauce, out of the mouth of Aunt Agnes. Even love is better with hot sauce. 🙂

Thanks, KE. Poetry can be visual art, as well as spoken word. I like the fusion here. Hope is powerful, it can buoy us in the darkest of times. 🙂

Amen to that Joan! I suppose I’d make that smiley face at the top and angel – representing sound and ethical leadership which is what we’re praying for here.

Thanks, Chev, for your thoughtful comment. I tried several “toppers” before settling on the smiley emoji. Something about it looked hopeful. I like your take, that it could represent the kind of leadership we need at the top, to make the rest of it possible. Very apropos. 🙂

We’ve just had a new leader elected for the ruling political party and while it’s early days, we are hoping for significant change for the better. If he gets it right, I’m sure that he will inspire many acts of kindness. I’m already looking at how we can get our work to speak to the key objectives he had laid down to take us out of the mess we’ve been in.

Beautiful! In fact, I just uploaded a ‘Nonet’ of my own onto my blog. It’s linked below. I’d love it if you would have a look over it and leave me some tips on how to improve. I’m sure I could learn a lot from you. I hope you like it!
